-1 I do not see the need in any way. Fiddling with permissions just to do this is a bit goofy.

Press F1 and tick the box or get a staff memer to do the command for you if a memer is available.
And surely there's a regular command/variable that you can bind to achieve this without the in-chat command.

Is there a command that we can bind? I wouldn't make this if I was aware of one.

I don't know, I just figured there would be since the F1 setting must change some variable to put you in spec. I can look into it in a bit.

Yes. While I'm the wrong person for how to set up the bind to toggle itself between going spec and leaving spec, what you would have to bind is ttt_spectator_mode:
ttt_spectator_mode 1 (=spec)
ttt_spectator_mode 0 (= alive and playing)

I used "bind f11 "say I am off to spectate!; ttt_spectator_mode 1", than Bind f12 ttt_spectator_mode 0

If you wanted to just go into spectate for a single round, do (Bind <Key> "ttt_spectator_mode 1; ttt_spectator_mode 0")

If you use that command structure, it will send you to spectate than out of it right away, so you would only spectate for one round.

learn something new. (bindtoggle <key> ttt_spectator_mode )

Does what the bind says, toggles the command from 1=0

So push it to go spectate, than push it again to leave spec

In accordance with that request, I've locked this thread and marked it rejected as the votes on the suggestion show lack of popular support.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I'm glad you got what you needed out of it <3
