How about the default map becomes the last map that was active? Server restarts, updates, or crashes will auto load the map that was active before shutdown/restart/crash.

I'm going to go ahead and close this. Map downloads are handled by Steam CDN and it seems to be fast again. If this occurs in the future, theres nothing we can do as we don't host the map files.

I updated the M4A4 texture earlier today as to not conflict with the M16 texture. After restarting your GMod to apply that fix, are the hands still missing?

I've gone ahead and pushed a hotfix to production due to store rank benefits not actively applying. It looks like playermodels are being equipped properly now and will not be equipped when a player is a detective, instead using the detective playermodel. Thanks for reporting!

The loading screen background has been updated to Marg Simsim's background for the time being. The current map image and Giant's Lair logo have been relocated to not take up as much height and cover the background. Suggestion will stay open for commissioning another background.
