How am I supposed to IDentify it if you shoot me before I can? you didn't even ask me to
Hey,
I know you have no idea who I am but I'm going to give you honesty.
Honestly, I wouldn't have given you much of a chance given your first real forum post is your application. You may have some experience on TTT from other communities but I know you know that many communities differ with rules or how things are ran.
You were told that staff don't handle their own reports, so regardless of any report against staff, not just those two, they have to "team up" to ensure fairness and the reported staff member isn't abusing. You should understand the reason it's brought up in the application is to understand what you thought about the situation and how you would handle it.
Your response is very subjective and, in this instance, it was very black and white. Which, in all honesty, moderators operate in the black and white area for that reason. The reason we have extended rules is to protect our players and our moderators from any added guesswork; that's left to admins+.
Like I said in thr beginning, you've been on the forums for a couple weeks now and this is your only post; old me would have said even that's too little interaction for the length of forum time.
Either way, this was longer than it needed to be so TL;DR -1.
Try to put yourself in the staffs shoes. Be objective with it. Use it as a way to grow. They were honest. You just didn't like their answer.

you didn't even know if I was the guy that killed him, that's the problem. you knew nothing, you walked up and said oh hey a body, and just shot me while I was in the midst of walking up to the body to ID it.
This isn’t the place to discuss individual rules. Zeyalon, if you have any questions about the rules feel free to reach out to myself or one of the other staff members.
I would suggest that an admin at least lock this application until it can be either accepted or denied.

I could say the same thing about you, you just didn't like my answer. oh well, not really anything I can do about that. He walked up while witnessing no traitorous act and started shooting me while a traitor was actively committing a traitorous act. If we really wanna let technicalities be used against me then so be it, not really a staff I wanna be apart of anyways. seems pretty toxic like a do as I say and have my opinion because I'm the overlord kinda vibe, he was rdming that whole time on the server and that was an rdm as well. however you may feel about it.

Also I'm replying to comments that depict me as a bad person and like I'm being disrespectful and that I'm wrong, the only thing I can do is stand up for myself and explain why I feel the way I do. I wanted to be apart of this staff but honestly this experience has dulled that motivation, freedom of speech is important here fella's. and being denied over an opinion is honestly wild to me and I'm not really down with that kinda vibe.

Also I met the requirements for trial mod so that's what I was applying more, if accepted my presence on the forums would have increased but thanks for your honesty bud.
This isn't a "how you feel about it" kinda situation. You're in a room not trying to ID a body. You just gotta see it black and white and that it's within the rules.
It may be a shitty playstyle by being trigger happy, it's within the bounds of the rules. We have a karma system for things like that. Lessons are learned and people move on. There's bigger picture that I don't think you're understanding and I say that as respectfully as possible.

well now this is just a fabricated scenario, the death scene will show that he shot me while I was trying to identify the body, therefor not even committing a traitorous act, therefor he rdm'd. which wasn't any different in the several rounds he rdmed before that. if everyone were to do this then it would just be mass confusion and rdm all the time, and a normal player would have been slain if reported. that's why you constantly see people being patient and asking for the body to be identified before even shooting. which he didn't even ask for and shot me while I was literally about to press the button.
When I'm a traitor, I like to kill those who ask because they were silly enough to wait lol.
Anyways, -1. Your attitude stinks. You're fun to play with on the servers, but not carrying that same atmosphere here. I don't even care if you're not familiar with the rules 100% - only lazy admins only consider those with 100% rule understanding. That can be ironed out in a trial phase.
How you handle yourself when you are wrong though is going to affect how new players get an impression on the server at the first sign of conflict, and this isn't it.

Your application started off promising. You clearly care about the server, have some background in staffing, and want to be involved in keeping things fair those are good qualities. However, one thing that immediately stood out to me was this part of your application:
This comes off as hostile and sets a tone that you're joining with the intention of policing other staff rather than working together, learning, and growing as a team. That mindset is concerning. As I continued reading, I noticed a pattern where you talk a lot about respect and honesty, but then follow it up with condescending or passive-aggressive remarks that don’t leave room for healthy discussion.
After watching the video in question, I can confidently say that you’re not ready for a staff role. That’s not how I’d want any staff member speaking to another player let alone in a public setting. You mentioned that you handled the situation “very professionally,” but the first words out of your mouth in that clip were:
You then followed that with threats of malicious compliance, saying you’d RDM and escalate to the owner if you were slain, and even told Husky he had the “lowest IQ you’ve ever heard.” I’m not here to comment on whether the kill was valid that’s not the focus. What I am commenting on is your response to the situation, and from what I saw, that is not the behavior we expect or can accept from staff.
I'm sorry to say this, but I will be denying your application for these reasons.
