(Tldr; nerf the M1911, AK-47, and Honeybadger.)


I don't have to type out specs and paragraphs out for each weapon as it's blatantly obvious they're each crazy, hence why everyone, low skill or high (usually absymally low) uses them

The AK-47 is overtweaked to all hell, its damage is simply too high for its firerate, making it an optional weapon at nearly every range. Its only downside is its moderate recoil, which is easily controlled. It should either have lower damage, or be as it is on some servers, a T weapon, because you can carve through 7 people in a single reload without even needing to aim for head

The Honeybadger has the perk of being suppressed. It's much less notable compared to standard gunfire, nearly two taps head and has a firerate of a P90, while also having next to 0 recoil. It's the primary meta weapon at the moment, its only flaw being the need of finding more ammunition after completing an already staggering killcount

The M1911 is just a Deagle but for donators. It fires faster, deals 1 tap headshots, and is spammable without drawback. It makes most if not all other secondaries obsolete due to their very non-differing body damages, sans the Remington.

These three weapons are the star players of this server for clear reason and require very little skill to use, while granting large reward

While I agree, there will always be a meta in games like this, it shouldn't be so brokenly apparent. These three weapons are absolute leagues above a majority of weapons in terms of player usage and and stat rating

Colt needs a nerf desperately, AK should get a lil damage nerf, AACs fine
Both weapons you listed are in a much better place than the AAC. The Honeybadger is certainly and by far the worst of the three. 48 damage a headshot on a rapid fire, recoiless, and suppressed weapon? That's insane

Make it a T weapon if we're so inclined to keep it's outrageous stats. There is a reason nearly everyone on server has it in their loadout, especially skilless sweats that go 'loud' (practically silent thanks to the weapon at hand) at round start. It's ridiculous.

If anything just up the recoil on the honey badger or lower the damage. If you think it's overpowered then it should be nerfed not made a t weapon imo.
 
IMO most guns on the server are already pretty weak. I feel like we should be buffing the other guns rather than nerfing the current meta guns.
This is certainly an approach but do we really want to increase overall time-to-kill on the server with Gmod Source Grade shitreg? That sounds infuriating. It's in a good spot in my opinion, the other weapons are entirely feasible.

We should lower the damages because TTT is a game of finesse, not going loud and killing every single person on sight with the same assault rifle. If we were to follow your suggestion for ideal balance we'd have people just shooting everyone on sight and winning because more damage mostly equals the first shooter winning. (The first shooter is more often than not a Traitor.)
 
I think it is a valid concern that some weapons have insanely fast TTK, I use the honey badger and I have to admit, it feels like im cheating with how easy it is to kill if you graze someones head even once since it has such a tight cone and fast fire rate, I assume it also probably has such a large headshot multiplier.

The most important thing to consider tho when we talk about balancing, is making sure TTK isnt too fast, but also making sure that the way weapons get balanced is done in a way where they still have good gun feel and dont feel like shit to fire. I think weapon balancing is a delicate issue to approach because of this

With the hitreg being as bad as it there have been many times where I've shot a full mag at someone and it leaves them at 1 hp. The innocents outnumber the traitors 4-1 so if someone did just "go loud" they would almost instantly be killed. Nerfing guns when the majority of complaints I've heard about the guns already feel too weak is not ideal imo.

if thats the case then absolutely it should be dropped. IMO faster weapons shouldnt have good headshot multipliers because they literally make higher skill weapons like deagle and snipers useless if you can just use the honey badger to snipe across map

Steve I'm not sure if you pay attention to the end-of-round report but there are repeated players who average 9 kills per T round. It's entirely false to say that 'going loud' leads to instantly getting killed 100% of the time. With 30% damage reduction from body armor and often the first, lethal shots on a target, you win a lot more than you lose.
