Well that was a fun read. I talked with Park a little bit to get the full story, but honestly,
@CallidusFox - you're right, all we need is here, so I can go ahead and wrap this up.
There's really three components here that was discussed:
- Whether this was RDM or not. Sounds like y'all already worked this one out and everyone agrees and realize it isn't. The true question is whether it is game throwing, which falls under the realm of toxic gameplay. Which leads to the next two actions:
- Whether Goat's kill on Callidus Fox was gamethrowing/toxic gameplay.
- Whether throwing the body over the edge of the building as a detective without it being ID'd falls under game throwing/toxic gameplay.
So first- the kill on Fox. This one I feel is teetering right on the edge. Emotions aside-
@SmellyGoatThing is right. Just because someone is KOS'd does not inherently mean that it shields the person who called the KOS from any action. While it may be shitty gameplay to deduce that the shooting is worst offense than carrying the TNT, we don't necessarily punish players for being shit at the game. For this instance, while again, I do think it is teetering the line of game throwing- I just don't see that it is quite there based on Goat's statements here based on this situation alone.
Now, for throwing the body off the side of the building. This is where I do have a problem in conjunction with the previous scenario. If the goal here was to try to get the least offender to figure out who the traitor here - the proper line of action would be to ID Fox's body to see he was a traitor. By throwing the body off the side of the building, this does effectively and purposely hurt the inno's progress towards the round that does seem to intentional. This does fall under game throwing.
Game throwing triggers a whole range of actions, usually just starting at a warning- but repeated actions can lead to a ban. So, for this one, I don't see it needing anything more than a warning.
@SmellyGoatThing - don't do that again.
Lastly.... on both ends I think a couple of chill pills is in order. It's a game y'all. If you allow yourself to get pressed over some pretty small stuff like this, just in general, you're not going to have a great time. This shouldn't have been such a big discussion here, this is a pretty minor scenario overall. Try to have some fun.
