Why should you be considered for a moderator position?
I care about the server and due to my previous experience as mod on sgm, i , if given the chance would be a very good mod. I also have a lot of experience when it comes to staffing. This includes dealing with normal reports and rdm's, group trolling , cheating, mic spam , racism etc.​
Although i generally have a pretty good image among most people , i do get a little stupid at times especially when joking around , which led to my most recent ban . As a staff member i would obviously peel back on the unprofessionalism . I'm ready to address and handle any criticism or questions that anyone may have.​

I do meet all the listed requirements in the thread

2. Why do you want to join the Giants Lair staff team?
I enjoy playing the server due mainly to the community , the atmosphere created by the players on is what keeps me playing for hours on end.

3. What skills or experiences do you bring to the team?
(e.g., past staffing, conflict resolution, technical knowledge, etc.)
Due to my previous history staffing on sgm , i am very familiar with how to solve conflicts between people. That isn't only limited to rdm reports even with my familiarity with the report manager , death scenes , forums and rules . Arguments that get out of hand or group trolling incidents are things that i am very acquainted with due to my thousands of hours on gmod.

4. How active are you across our platforms (GMod, Discord, Forums)?
Provide a breakdown if possible.
Very active on the ttt server.
The rest of the month of February i can easily put in 28- 56 hours a week .
After February , ill start my second semester in college and my activity will decrease. But since i was able to tweak my schedule i can put in 30+ hours a week if needed.

In regards to the forums and discord, i read the forums relatively regularly , and have only recently been able to join the discord.
5. How much time can you realistically dedicate to staffing per week?
February : 28-56h
After February : 20-30h+

6. How well do you handle pressure, criticism, or heated situations?
I handle pressure , criticism , and heated situations very well. Due to my what i do in my professional life ,listening to criticism is about 50% of what i do on a regular basis . Pressure is also something that i am very acquainted with as i am a professional fighter and i need to keep a level head while preforming. Heated situations are also my specialty , mainly due to how i can handle situations quickly and without error ( group trolling , cheating , mass rdm etc)

7. How would you describe your conflict resolution style?
Firstly , keeping a level head and listening to both sides , and making sure they both feel heard is vital to actually having a healthy conversation. Applying the server rules is a priority when it comes to these situations.

8. Are you familiar with the TTT server rules and general community standards?
Very familiar , as i have thousands of hours on ttt and communities inside gmod.

9. What does your punishment history (if any) look like on our servers?
Be honest — transparency is appreciated.
I have around 30 slays? ( not sure specifically ). i have 1 ban which happened recently due to me going overboard on a joke with a member of the server. It was a very just ban and a lot of discretion along with warnings were given , with becoming a staff member , it would mean a level of professionalism that i am ready to adhere to.

10. What is your reputation like within the community?
Can you name any reputable players or staff who would vouch for you?
I'd say most people on the server like me as i generally come on to have fun and joke around . I also have good relationships with much of the staff .
I staffed with lordy on sgm ( not my overseeing admin )

Hopefully more staff members / reputable people , but i do not want to pressure anyone into endorsing me if they do not see fit

Frosty would make a wonderful staff member, he saved my grandmother from a forest fire once. He is a very brave and strong soul and I think he would fit not only nicely among existing staff, but set an example for some of the vets on the team even <3

didnt he get banned for racism and harrasment?
 
You have rough edges, I’m sure some other staff will chime in about some of the recent stuff not limited to your recent ban and how often you drift into silly conversations (@veL loves you).

I’m supporting this application because your lenient laid back vibes match the tone of this community, and I believe with the right training/willingness to change you can be a really fun addition to the staff team whose focused on having fun and playing the game, something we need for EU going forward.
 
Hello Frosty. As the person who most recently banned you, I'd like to say a couple of things. Your ban typically would've been 5 days but I reduced it to 1 day mainly because you knew you fucked up and took things too far. I think your vibe and attitude would be a benefit to our staff team. The only issue is one you've already addressed. I believe you will be able to dial it back when necessary, and as such, you get my +1
 
Hey frosty, I am glad to see this application come in.

I am in full agreement with @;) and @steve and think you have exactly the vibes that we are looking for for the staff team.

I think it's commendable that you are being completely upfront on your application regarding your recent ban. I also have the belief that, if you were accepted as a staff member, you would be able to dial it back while still maintaining the positive energy and laid-back vibes that we are working on building in the community.

You have my +1, I wish you best of luck in the process.

Thank you for the advice , as a staff member i would 100% dial some of goofiness back when needed . i again do not think it was an unjust ban and i know that i was being a little dumb . Thank you for the discretion and recoomendation!
 
The fact you can accept you were being a little dumb, took it well and didn't crash out, says a lot about who you are as a person and I think highlights your capabilities of keeping a level head even when a sitaution is not in your favour. I think you're hilarious whenever I've seen you on the server and I think you have the perfect personaility to help grow the EU player base (just making note of this because of your timezone, this doesn't mean I don't think you would be a good staff member period!). Dialling back a little bit on the edge but being able to still highlight your humour enough to make the EU players feel at home and wanting to come back will be a powerhouse skill to have on our team. I'd like to see that in action a little bit on the server while your app is here and getting feedback, but based on how you have shown yourself here and how you have been honest and reflective I think you certainly have the capacity.
 
My only advice to you would be things I have cautioned you against and warned you about while we've been on the server which is contributing to inflammatory discussions / rage baiting people. I think you're a really funny guy & you contribute to the vibes of the server and can make people laugh and start fun conversations and dialogues, but I think you need to take it easy a bit on more controversial topics or deliberately trying to piss people off by making certain remarks.

If you can do that, I have no doubts that you would make a fine staff member after some training up. +1

Also you BETTER stop calling me KEFFREY SHARPSTEIN!!!!

Very fair, honestly it is sometimes interesting to talk about more controversial topics , but it depends who is on the server . With being a staff member , i would tone it down on the controversialness , especially in high pop.

Well as I recall saying to you one time (prior to someone getting banned for HC ironically) it is fine to discuss geopolitics and things of that nature as long as you're not insulting each other or being racist / xenophobic / hateful and so on. Having a respectful discussion is something you're more than capable of as I have observed it myself before, so it's more of a question of dialing back the other stuff.
