Either remove it or make it toggleable so users can turn it off while they wait for a report.

This was added when RDM/Leave was a thing which made it necessary to help prevent accidental bans. Since RDM & leave is no longer a thing, it is no longer necessary.

I would love an "Acknowledge" button that also shows a "never show me this again" or something.

Or just remove the feature altogether since RDM & leave isn't a thing.

One benefit I see to this feature is that it lets the reported player know that the person handling it might have questions for them. I’d personally be frustrated if I unknowingly left with an open report and ended up slain the next time I joined because I didn’t know I’d need to explain myself.

I’d be opposed to removing it completely, neutral on making it toggleable.

This suggestion makes the wrong assumption. The problem is not the report warning header banner thing.

The problem is people making reports.
As such I propose the following rule amendment:

2. SPAM, HARASSMENT, and FALSE REPORTING

EXAMPLES OF HARASSMENT:​

[...]​

- Intentionally sending false reports (repeatedly)​

[...]​

Which should instead be changed to:

2. SPAM, HARASSMENT, and REPORTING

[...]​

- Sending reports (ever)​

[...]​

With this rule change, we can effectively combat the root cause of these irksome screenspace hoggers, while also eliminating RDM on the servers. Win-win.</s>
